You may remember the somewhat unsuccessful release of Worldwide Wonders last Christmas, well... this Christmas WDU are announcing that something even bigger and better is on its way!
Worldwide Wonders will take you to all four corners of the globe, bringing back weird and wonderful creatures for you to discover, display and conserve in your zoo which will surely be filled to bursting point!
Worldwide Wonders will be split into several packs of 6 animals, as well as a selection of native foliage and scenery to make your new animals feel more at home.
The first pack is centred on Asia, it contains 10 animals from the vast continent, as well as a selection of foliage and objects to bring your zoo to life. This pack shows just how diverse Asia and it's Wildlife is, taking you from the steaming rainforest home of the Sun Bear and Sumatran Rhino, to Freezing Lake Baikal and the extremes of the Gobi Desert, without having to leave your own home!
Animals revealed so far:
Baikal Seal
The Illusive and rare Baikal Seal, or Nerpa is found only in the icy waters of the siberian lake Baikal. It is the smallest seal species, and one of only 3 that live excluively in freshwater. Sadly the Baikal Seal's pelts are highly prized, and many are hunted.
Sun Bear
The Sun Bear is the smallest and possibly the strangest bear species. It is found in the rainforests of south east asia and is the worlds smallest species of bear at only 1.2m in lenght. Other features that make it unusual are it's short and sleek fur, the fact it does not hibernate and the adult's love of climbing trees, somthing most adult bears do not do.
