They might just mean in the ZT2 series not the entire zoo tycoon series. Though I am sure if it does come out it will not be for a while.

The two companies that teamed together to make Zoo Tycoon have split up so there will be no more Zoo Tycoon games. However, one of the companies continues to make zoo games but there zoo games are for younger audiences. An example of one of their solo creations is World of Zoo,which I believe is only on video game consoles such as Wii and maybe also on DS,but it might be available for pc as well.
