Guinea Pigs

We have four guinea pigs. We did have five but one died. So sad cause he was sweet!

Pepper died a couple of days ago March 31. She was my favorite and it was sad. I don't know what was wrong with her and she was only 3 years old!

Panda does look a little like a panda.

HELP ME! Puff has just this morning had blood in her urine and the same thing happened to Pepper before she died! She is acting happy and okay but I don't like this because she is five years old and I don't know if she's dying of old age or something.

i dont know about the blood, but i have 3 Guinea pigs, one of them is an extremly rare haiween Guinea pig.I could have a look into the blood thing if you wish, im an expert of animals and their illnesess, ive been studyig them since i was 4.Ill have a look for you.

Blood in Guinea pigs Urine is usually associated with Estrus and is NOT a serious condition unless she is unable to urinate or stops eating. We do not usually give Guinea pigs antibiotics because they can cause problems themselves.You will need to increase her vitamin C because a pig under stress requires 2 - 3 times the normal C ration. In addition, put a drop of unsweetened cranberry juice in her water daily to lower the acidity of her urine. You also want to encourage as much drinking as possible.This will help to restore the balance in her urinary system.
Give her some cut up cucumber as this is a diuretic. However, discontinue all sugary fruits until this problem resolves.

Guinea pigs in estrus do not have blood. Besides, my guinea pig is not cycling anymore. She's too old.

I had one of those, it's name was Ron, first we thought that it was a male, but later we discovered that it was, actually, a female. she was so fat, but they leave for such a short time and it's sad when they die

I had a guinea pig when i was little. His name was Babe, like the pig in the movie I was little, so i thought it was actually a furry little pig, lol
