Extras
Extras are exclusive free content, such as animals and scenery, which you can download and install from zootycoon.com.
To download and install Extras content:
1. You must also install the Zoo Tycoon 2 Patch (unless you are using a Zoo Tycoon 2 Expansion Pack, such as Endangered Species, African Adventure, or Marine Mania).
2. Click the Extras downloads link below.
3. When prompted, click Run to download. (Do not click Save. If you click Save, exit the download program and start again.)
4. Click Run again to start the installation, and then follow the installation instructions.
The addax is a critically endangered antelope that lives in the southwest Saharan desert on the African continent. Its slender graceful horns spiral to a height of nearly 3 ft (1 m), and its large hooves help it travel long distances across the soft Saharan sand dunes. The addax is well adapted to the extreme heat and dryness of its desert habitat and can live most of its life without drinking water from a river, lake, or stream. Instead, it gets water from dew and high-water content foods, like succulent leaves and wild watermelons. The addax is most active in the coolest parts of the day and at night, when temperatures are lower.
To unlock the addax in Zoo Tycoon 2 challenge or campaign games, your zoo must have at least a 2-star zoo fame rating.
