Horse RPG

Taz shifted a little uneasily as the big stallion approached. The little morgan felt like a shetland in comparison.

"We should probably move a little as soon as the foal can walk..." Tosca suggested, "Predators have good noses..."

"True" Ace replied. "We have to be on the watch" He looked around at their strange little herd and smiled to himself. He actually had a HERD

April plumitts to the ground. She neighs loudly and the foal was born.

Lightning whinnies loudly at all the new scenes. He trots along freely and rears up. "He's so beautiful!" says April.

"Looks like we have a new member of the herd. There is a small river over in the edges of the forest. Maybe if we clean up the foal, its smell wont be as easy to track. Oh, i dont know if i could survive being attacked again... This is so hard." She leans more weight on Bane as she walks over to meet this new arrival and to check on April.

"I dont know if I can take care of a foal by myself..." says April to Rayne. She sighs loudly then walks off by herself.

Lightning walks over to his mom. He whinnies and nudges her.

Ace whinnied with joy at the new arrival. He trotted directly towards him, Dove at his side. Halfway he paused and looked back smiling encouragingly back at the two young horses invitingly. He jerked his head in the diection of the foal hopefully and continued trotting, hoping they had followed.

"How gorgeous!" Tosca said with a sigh to her brother, "Its good he's up so quickly."

Her brother nodded in agreement. The other horses all began to move towards the water, "Race you!" Taz said before breaking into a gallop.

"Not fair!" Tosca yelled before taking off after him. Things were looking up.

Additional Info/Background Info:Wildfire was born in a lush meadow not far from a river. Her mother was worried she would die because her left hind leg was slashed. But she has proven mom wrong and runs with the wind.

Additional Info/Background Info:Wildfire's mate, he is strong willed and compassionate. He and Wildfire knew each other since foalhood and they haven't changed now with the baby on the way.)

Ace looked and Dove, smiling. Ths seemed like the beginning of a perfect life. He neighed with as much volume as he could and took off. He hadn't galloped like this since he was a foal. Tossing his head, he circled back around.

The two young morgan's galloped down to the creek, they could hear that another horse was following them as they charged into the water. Climbing out on the other side, they both shook themselves dry. Tosca whinnied and Taz pranced, then froze. There were two strange horses a short distance from the water. This day was getting stranger by the minute.

Her leg had started to scab up, she was a some what fast healer. She fastly cantered over to the two new horses. "Hello their, im Rayne, who are you?" Rayne said with a smile. She had went over closer to Tosca and Taz, sensing their fear. She was hoping they would calm down, as not to scare the new two horses. The horses didn't seem much threat, but she stood a good distance away with Tosca and Taz. Rayne waited for the newcomers response.

Dove tossed her head and chased after Ace. She loved feeling the wind in her mane. Giving out a niegh of glee she raced after him.

BAne troted a little behind Rayne. He was glad she was getting better already. He glanced at the two new horses. Wow were getting bigger by the second.

WILDFIRE
Wildfire was happy and trotting along the shore of the river. She tossed her head."Starfire, if the foal is a colt, what will he be named?"she asked her mate suddenly."How about Wind?"he replies."And if a filly?"Wildfire asked."Then Star."he replied. Wildfire smiled. She loved Starfire, but she feared she loved too much.

Rayne saw the foal. She wouldnt admit it, but she had always wanted a foal. He was so cute! She nuzzled him. She looked back at Bane and smiled.

i walk out of the woods and see a very small herd of horses i graze while they are whaching me. I walk over to them and say "havn't you ever seen a zorse before?"

Rayne replied "Actually, No." She gave the foal one more nuzzle and walked over to the strange zorse and neighed a hello. "Who are you?" she asked with a smile. She looked to Bane for comfort.

BAne looked at the zhorse. Zhorse? whats that? He snorted and little and walked a few steps closer. he didn't look harmfull but you never know. BAne's head dipped a little in greeting. "Hello I'm Bane." He called out. to the new horse? or was is a Zebra?

I replied "hi" i"m half zebra half horse my mother escaped from a cage and found these pastures....she found her self in a herd my father was the alpha male...........right when i was born he chased me away... i have been living here ever since.

Technically mallard, if the mother was a zebra then it is called a hebra.

Ace, happy as can be, spotted the new horse and ran over to say hello. Free from his initial shyness, he whinnied at him. "Hello there."

she liked Bane following her around now she felt safer and less nervous at this greeting

I walk throught the small herd over to Rayne and ask her if i could be in the herd.

{its kinda in 3rd person, but its ok}

"of course you can be in the herd, that is, if you want to travel to mark a claim in the mountains!" Rayne exclaims. She just felt a surge of joy thinking about the mountain and her neigh rung out throughout the whole vally and forest, a neigh of triumph.

Thuder replied"yes!!!" i would love to travel up to the mountains!

she smiled, she was happier than she had been since... well since she had her parents. She walked around her heard, watching them graze and do what ever else they had decided to do for now. She knew the following months would be hard. "The sun is starting to go down. We will have to sleep close together for saftey reasons. So gather up, we need plenty of rest for the times ahead!" she went over to a area of medium sized brush and lied down waiting for the others. She would sleep on the out side edge of her herd to keep them safe, with the foal in the very middle for that extra bit of protection.

The two yearling's found themselves closer to the middle of the herd. Tosca had settled down, but Taz was still edgy about being so close to a new mother.

"I think I'll move a little further out. I'm big enough to look after myself."

Tosca mummbled in reply. It had been a very long day, and they were going to travel far. She took one final glance around their odd little herd before closing her eyes and dozing off to sleep.

Taz was less comfortable than his sister. He was still puzzled about the newest addition to the herd and watched him from the corner of his eye, while keeping a close eye on his sleeping sister. Things used to be so simple.

Rayne saw Taz's discomfort. She walks over and says "You can settle down, theirs saftey in numbers. Nothing will even try to mess with us" She went to gather up the others.

thunder walked over and slept with the herd.Later that night he woke up to see glowing green eyes in the brush.."WOLVES WOLVES" he screamed

Ace stood bolt upright. "Shhh, quiet down" he whispered. "Wolves couldn't do anything to a herd this large." He looked at little Lightning, hardly able to stand "Except...." Ace whinnied gently. "Gather around Lightning, he'll be safe in the middle."

Rayne bolted up at all the commotion and neighed for all the others to run to the far side of the herd with the foal in the middle. Wolves wont attack a full grown herd, so you think every one should just stay together until they leave. You join them to find that they were safe mostly.

{hey, april asked to be taken out of the rpg, so she might be eaten by wolves }

I ran with the others keeping the young foal in the middle of the herd when i notice that april is still sleeping.

"April! The wolves are coming! RUN!!" Rayne shouted. The wolves were gaining and April wasnt reacting fast enough. "Come on!" She let out a shrill challenging squeal towards the wolf pack. Everyone was stopped in their tracks.

{Rayne let out the squeal}

April got up and galloped towards the herd. She was too tired to gallop, she collapsed, whinnyeing as loud as she could.

Ace wanted to help, but he didn't want to leave Dove. Indecision froze him in place and he neighed loudly wth panic.

Rayne saw bane and she was pleading for him to save april, she would take care of the wolves. She let out one more shrill battle cry before running towards the rest of the pack of beast.

April neighed loudly with fear. She panicked and kicked at the wolves. She kept kicking and kicking but they wouldn't leave her alone. "HELP!" she shouted.

Ace made a split decision and raced towards April. "Stay and help Lightning!" he called back to Dove. He really didn't want to see her hurt...

April neighed as she saw Ace coming for her. Atleast someone is coming for me... she thought.

April neighed as the wolves teared and picked at her ankles. She tried to get up, but she was too weak...

rayne was trying her best to pull the wolves off. she had acctually knocked all but 4 of them out cold. she thought Maybe we can save her!

It had all happened so quickly, one minute they were sleeping soundly, the next, they were galloping for their lives.

The two young horses stood close to the foal. Tosca slowed and turned to watch the battle raging behind her. The wind changed direction and she could smell the blood. "We can't wait. We have to get the little one as far away as we can. The others will find us."

"That's what you said last time." Taz muttered under his breath. Tosca ignored the comment and shifted closer to the foal, he was starting to get worn out.

They stopped in the middle of another clearing and shifted into a circle around the foal. Watching the trees around them carefully for any more signs of the predators.

Ace noticed Taz and Tosca backing away, but had no time to ask what they were doing. He reaced April and lashed out at a wolf with his hooves. He reared and kicked. His hoof caught one on the side and rolled him over, but April was in bad shape. "No!" Ace cried.

Thunder could not realy take it any longer he galloped towards april to try to fight off some wolves

Rayne kept fighting, she wasnt going to stop, she couldnt let april die. She was getting weaker, the wolves were getting the upper hand.

Soon it was over.........silence had struck the small herd

Rayne collapsed to the ground crying. She watched the remaing wolves dragging April off. She was covered in the blood of the dead wolves. She kicked her hooves at the dead wolves still lying their. She couldnt take it. She ran to the river and layed in the shallow end washing the blood off. The river was tinted pink.
