Horse RPG

April feels ignored, she is lonely and has no one to help her being a new horse.

Feeling sorry for April, Ace gets up and goes to talk to her. SHe looks forlorn and lonely.

April turns away from Ace, "Its okay," April walks over to a nearby tree and eats the leaves from it. April is so lonely.

Hearing the comotion Bane stands up careful not to wake Rayne. Nieghing he asked "whos the new horse?"Shaking his mane he walks over to her.

Ranye is stirred up a little, but she couldnt make out anything that was happening. She was in a dazed state and all she knew was that she couldnt see, she was in a terrible pain that enabled her to move very well, their was something or someone being yelled at, and lastly she was for once, scared to be alone. She tried to stand but stumbled. She felt completely useless. She whinned a hoarse {ooc: no pun intended } neigh that was not loud enough to hear. She pushed her rear up with her un-injured back legs and then tried with her front legs. It was useless. She fell back and layed on her back and just kind of fell into sleep. The last thing she saw was Bane standing up in front of her.

Hearing Rayne he rushed over to her. A panic stricken look came into his eyes as he looked at her. her cuts must have been worse then i thought... He just stared at her not knowing what to do. Looking around franticly for someone, he only saw a blur.

Ace's head jerked up at the pain-filled scream. His first thought was of Dove, but no she was only a few feet away. In a wave of horrer he realized it was Rayne. He sprang to his feet (I know horses don't really spring, but...) and rushed to Bane's side. "What's happened?" He asked.

The mountain lion kept biting Rayne. She couldn't move but still felt the pain. Then she saw the truck driving off with her parents. She ran but she couldn't catch it. She jerked her head up from the dream and saw a few horses standing over her. She was dazed and couldn't tell who. She had sweat all over her and had heavy breathing. In a spark of fear she shot up into a standing position ignoring the ever present pain that was on her body.

he breathed a sigh of releaf, she was standing. Quckly he went up and started nuzzling her to see if she was ok, which she wasn't. Jerking his head back he was quite embaressed. why did you do that? you don't want to scare her off like the other ones.he thought to himself. dropping his head he started eating, but his gaze still rested on Rayne.

Turtle Dove had rushed over only to find her brother nuzzling Rayne. and he was always yelling at me about Ace. Shaking her head she walked a little closer to get a better veiw, pointedly making sure to stand next to Ace.

Ace shifted uncomfortably, watching the incident. When Dove came and stood by him, he smiled nervously and started eating slowly.

Rayne couldn't hold this pain, so it just canceled out, She felt fine. She walked next to Bane and rested her head on his withers. He was so nice. She could barely stand so she leaned most of her weight on him.

Ace thought the interaction between Rayne and Bane (hey they rhyme!) was sweet, but it put pressure on him with Dove. He opened his mouth to say something, but chaned his mind and continues grazing.

Rayne raised her head up when she saw Ace about to speak. "Yes... Ace..." she said with a weak voice "What were you... going to say?" she said laying her head back down weakly on Bane

Now Ace was really nervous. He hadn't been expecting the movement so he started to breathe a little harder. His heartbeat raised a little. But not unpleasantly so...He smiled a little to himself and curled his head around to look at Dove and smiled.

Rayne stumbled over to a tuft of grass she started to graze. When a few drips of blood drip from her chest she spooked and fell to her side and started to roll around widly.

Ace jumped with all the other horses as Rayne fell unexpectedly onto her back. "Rayne!" he called worridly, rushing to her side.

Rayne got up and said "I'm going to the river, Bane you can come with me." She went and whispered in Banes ear "They need alone time any way..." She started to stumble towards the river a few yards into the forest.

She walked into the water and bent to where the chilly water ran through her wound. "I don't know what to do any more... I-I just dont know... I think Ace is really nervous, Dove might not even like me... Im just confused about whats happening..." she came on land and layed down comfortably as she could.

Ace stared silently as Bane and Rayne walked away towards the river. His herd instinct urged him to follow, but he restrained himself. He turned to look back at Dove and trotted back to her, slowly, carefully. He nickered softly to her, and waited for her response.

Hearing Ace come she lifted her head but didn't look at him, "what do you want?" she asked bluntly.


Bane nuzzled Rayne, "hey don't worry, its out of your control"he said soflty.

Ace stopped abruptly, affronted. "I-I just wanted to...what's wrong? Did I do something?" he asked her sftly.

" Oh no YOU didn't do any thing wrong"she told him "but he sure did" she wispered so he could barly hear. Droppingher head she stared at the ground just thinking.

Rayne slowly got up. She walked started to limp back to the herd but stopped. "Lets let them have some alone time, what do you say?" She layed back down.

April was still sad at everyone. No one talked to her. She immediatley felt a sharp pain in her stomach. "Someone help!" She felt as if she should die right now.

Ace heard April's desperate plea and hurried off, halway there he stopped and looked back at Dove. His eyes pleaded her to come with him.

Ace was frozen, unsure. The memory of that terrible scream of pain prodded him on, but he felt a pressing desire to follow Dove. He was hrt and confused by her actions. He snorted, frusterated and making up his mind rushed to April. "Are you okay?" he asked. He tried to help her stand, but could not.

Rayne motioned for him to go. She knew what was happening. When April came, she was obviously pregnant, and now she was in labor. She didnt want to get up, so she would need Bane to help her, so she knew he should go. "Go help her, I think she is in labor..." the mind stilling screech was still fresh in her head, and it brought back horrible memory's of how her mother screamed when being taken away. She could have cried but Bane was standing right there, and she didn't want to look weak.

Other info: Tosca and Taz are twins who were separated from their herd during a muster. They are currently looking for any other members of their herd who managed to escape.

The dust finally settled. The strange horses with the smell of death and noise on their backs had left and she was all alone. It was a miracle she had gotten away. Tosca stumbled through the undergrowth, ears twitching and nostrils flaring, nerves on edge, waiting for the smallest signal that she should flee. She heard branches cracking behind her and she tensed, ready to break into a gallop before a familiar voice called out "Wait!"

She let out a sigh of relief and spun around to nuzzle her twin brother Taz, checking for any signs of injury. He was fine.

"Where are we?" Taz asked his sister.

"I have no idea, but we have to try and find everyone else." Tosca replied, trying to sound brave. She was terrified.

The pair set off side by side through the scrub at a fast walk. "Perhaps we should retrace our steps?" Tosca suggested, receiving little more than a snorted reply from Taz. "It all looks the same, how are we going to find our way back?"

Suddenly, the pair heard a scream in the distance and sped up to a canter in the direction of the sound.

"Do you think its our herd?" Tosca asked between breaths. Before Taz could reply the pair broke through the undergrowth and entered a clearing, freezing as they saw the chaotic scene before them. Taz smelt blood and began to back up, while Tosca remained frozen in place, ears pricked forward, ready to flee at the first sign of hostility.

"Come on!" Taz whispered to his sister. "Its NOT our herd..."

Ace's heart soared when Dove rushed to him. "Its okay, its all okay." he whispered back soothingly. "Now lets do all we can for April. We may have a new foal in the herd!" He started again toward the source of the scream, but froze when two horses crashed through the undergrowth to the side. He reared back in surprise positioning himself in front of Dove, shielding her.

Taz continued to back up slowly, pleading with his sister to follow him. Instead, Tosca lowered her head and started to walk forwards slowly.

"Have any of you seen our herd? We were split up when they came...We aren't any danger to you, I'm Tosca and this is my brother Taz...we got lost in the commotion. Please, we just want to g home..." Tosca slowly raised her head not wanting to appear threatening to other horses who were obviously as stunned by this whole situation as they were.

Taz slowly walked up and stood behind his sister, leaning against her so she knew he was there. What a day! he thought to himself nervously pawing the ground beneath his feet, fighting the urge to flee. He wouldn't leave without his sister.

Ace relaxed, but his breath still came fast and heavy. "We haven't seen any other horses, besides you. What happened to your herd?" Waiting for their answer, he nudged Dove reassuringly. "Sorry for scaring you," he murmured.

Tosca took a deep breath. They were obviously going in the wrong direction. Before she could begin to explain, Taz butted in.

"Strange horses came with... I don't know, things on their backs. There was so much noise and dust and panic. We were separated from our herd. It was complete coincidence we even managed to bump into each other. I hope they don't come this way..."

Tosca nuzzled her brother for reassurance. "Perhaps we'd best keep looking. Its nearly dark and I don't want to spend the night without a herd..."

Tosca turned to begin to walk away when there was another ear splitting scream. A little spooked she shied away then asked "Whats wrong with her? Did the strangers hurt her too?"

Rayne stood up, ignoring her pain for her herd who might be in danger. She darted out of the woods and ran and saw april giving birth and the newcomers she didnt know which to go to...

Taz smelled blood, then saw another horse walk into the opening. He wasn't sure how to react to all that was going on, it had been such a stressful day. He turned and followed his sister to the far edge of the clearing. He knew better than to interfere with a mare in labor.

Rayne ran over to April, keeping an eye on these new horses, and hoping that everything will be allright. The two horses didnt look too thretening, maybe even scared, but she didn't want to let her gaurd down.
{OCC: April might not say anything, shes my friend in real life and i know she cant get on the computer much}

Ace took a step towards the two young horses. In truth he wasn't much older than them. "We won't hurt you. We are a new herd. The mare is giving birth, will you help us? You are free to stay with us if you want." He told them gently. then he stopped and looked towards where Rayne was hurrying towards the rest of the herd. "That is, if it is okay with her." He waited patiently for a response. All the while, Dove leaned against him. He smiled to himself.

Tosca visibly relaxed. They wouldn't have to spend the night alone.

"Umm, I have no idea about having foals...Only one mare in our heard has had one this season and she went off by herself and came back the next day... She might get upset if we go over there. She doesn't know us..." The young horse felt helpless.

"Yeah, I went to see what was going on, and I got kicked. It hurt!" Taz added, grimacing at the memory. "I'll just stay over here."

Rayne checked April out and decided she was going to be fine. she would give birth within the next few hours. Crisis avoided. She now had to come to the new horses. She galloped over to who she finds out to be Tosca and Taz. "Hello, My name Rayne. Welcome." She wait for them to reply.
{OOC: I left April because the person who types what she does can't get on the internet very often and might not get on very soon darn internet problems! the puppy calms me down. }

Tosca felt safer being surrounded by all the 'grown ups', and relieved that they wouldn't be chased off. "So I guess we just wait then." she said with a sigh. Her muscles were beginning to ache from all the galloping she had done escaping and she began to walk slowly in circles. She noticed Taz was shifting from side to side and then came to join her.

"So what will we do about our herd?" he asked his sister.

"Worry about it later." Tosca replied. They both had the feeling they wouldn't find them again.

"So what were you guys planning on doing before we came barging in?" Taz asked a little more relaxed and upbeat than he had been in a while. He knew there was no more he could do.

Rayne leaned on Bane. "We are going to go claim a big area of land in the mountains... there we will have a large herd. To get there we will have to travel by night, for there are risk for another mountain lion attack" she looked to her cuts. "But with all the commotion we might have to wait a few days before we will depart." she gazed towards the mountains.

"Yeah" Ace agreed. "There's no way we can leave with April in that condition. We'll have to wait with her."
